Pochi minuti fa IFMAR ha comunicato la sua decisione di rinviare tutti gli eventi in programma nel 2020 al 2021, quindi rimandati i vari mondiali 1/8 offroad, 1/10 Touring e 1/10 elettrico.

Dopo il nostro post di marzo 2020 e le domande poste dopo quel messaggio, ecco un aggiornamento sugli eventi IFMAR per il 2021.
L’attuale situazione con COVID ci ha fatto decidere di posticipare il programma 2020 al 2021. Gli organizzatori dell’1 / 8th IC Off-Road, 1 / 10th IC Touringcars e 1 / 10th Electric ISTC saranno invitati a fornire nuove date, più o meno nello stesso periodo di quanto previsto per il 2020.
Gli eventi originariamente pianificati per il 2021 si sposteranno nel 2022 ecc. Questo per evitare troppi eventi in un anno. L’unica eccezione potrebbe essere l’evento su larghe scale, che potrebbe ancora svolgersi nel 2021 (USA).
Sebbene le gare stiano nuovamente iniziando in vari paesi, ci sono limitazioni al numero di piloti / meccanici consentiti e una serie di precauzioni come la distanza nei box e / o sul podio e l’uso della maschera a volte è necessario. L’esecuzione di un evento IFMAR con 150 conducenti potrebbe dare un totale di 400-450 persone su una piccola area. Questo non sarà facile da realizzare con alcune di queste limitazioni.
Alla fine di quest’anno ti aggiorneremo di nuovo. C’è ancora la possibilità che potremmo aver bisogno di cambiare le cose entro dicembre 2020. Non è solo la parte medica che COVID porta, ma anche le restrizioni di viaggio e la quarantena obbligatoria che sono valide per un gran numero di paesi al momento fanno parte del decidere come e quando esattamente procedere con i nostri eventi.

Following our post from March 2020 and the questions asked after that message here is an update regarding the IFMAR events for 2021.
The current situation with COVID has made us decide to postpone the 2020 program to 2021. The organizers of the 1/8th IC Off-Road, 1/10th IC Touringcars and 1/10th Electric ISTC will be asked to give new dates, more or less in the same period as what was planned for 2020.
The events originally planned for 2021 will move to 2022 etc. This is to avoid too many events in one year. The only exception may be the Large scale event, which could still be hold in 2021 (USA).
Although racing is starting in various countries again there are limitations on the number of drivers/mechanics allowed and a number of precautions like distance in the pit and/or on the rostrum and the use of face-mask is sometimes needed. Running an IFMAR event with 150 drivers might give a total of 400-450 people on a small area. This will not be easy to realize with some of those limitations.
At the end of this year we will update you again. There is still a possibility that we may need to change things by December 2020. It is not only the medical part that COVID brings, but travel restrictions and mandatory Quarantine that are valid for a large number of countries at the moment are also part of the decision how and when exactly to proceed with our events.
