Serpent è orgogliosa di annunciare che l’ex campione del mondo Cody King è entrato a far parte del team Serpent offroad. Cody correrà nell’1/8 buggy nitro con la Cobra e anche nelle-buggy, truggy e e-truggy. Inoltre correrà anche nell’1/10 2wd e 4wd con la serie Spyder.
Cody parteciperà a tutte le principali gare offroad negli Stati Uniti e all’estero, incluso il Neo e il WC IFMAR.
Di seguito l’intervista.
D: Quando hai iniziato a correre e con quale macchina?
CODY: Ho iniziato a correre nel 2000. La mia prima auto era una Team Losi XXXT e la mia prima auto in scala 1/8 era una GS Storm e la carrozzeria era viola 😊
Q: Con quali macchine correrari per Serpent
CODY: Correrò con tutte le auto in scala 1/8 e alla fine di quest’anno anche con le 1/10
D: Quale classe è la tua preferita e perché?
CODY: La mia classe preferita è sicuramente il buggy 1/8. Sono cresciuto con il motocross quindi è la cosa più vicina, ma senza possibilità di farsi male.
D: Qual è la tua pista locale e dove si trova?
CODY: Le mie piste nitro locali sono Revelation Raceway e Thunder alley Raceway. Nell’elettrico invece corro a OCRC Raceway.
D: Qual è stato il tuo più grande risultato finora?
CODY: Il più grande risultato è stato vincere il campionato mondiale 1/8 nel 2010/11 a Pattaya, in Tailandia. È stata la più grande esperienza della mia vita.
D: Quanti anni hai e quale è la tua professione?
CODICE: ho 30 anni. Il mio lavoro è correre e aiutare i piloiti Serpent sulla costa occidentale e promuovere il marchio Serpent in quest’area.
D: Dopo i primi test e le prime gare con la Serpent, cosa puoi dire sulla costruzione, la manutenzione, la qualità e le prestazioni?
CODY: La mia prima impressione delle macchine Serpent è fantastica! La qualità delle parti è la migliore con cui abbia mai lavorato. La scorsa settimana ho montato il mio primo kit e tutto è filato liscio. Ho provato le macchine per circa 2 mesi e mi sento già a mio agio. Le auto sono facili da settare e ogni giorno vado che vado a provare le cose migliorano sempre di più.
D: Quali saranno le gare più importanti per la prossima stagione?
CODY: Ovviamente avrei intenzione di fare tutte le grandi gare. Quelli di cui sono certo sono il Nitro Challenge, Silver State, Nationals, NeoBuggy e il mondiale IFMAR. Per quanto riguarda le corse locali, farò tutte le gare come JBRL, TNT e le locali.
Q: Quando e dove sarà la tua prossima gara più importante con Serpent?
CODY: La prossima e prima grande gara sarà The Dirt Nitro Challenge dal 21 al 25 febbraio

Its great to have you on the Serpent Team. Below a few questions for you:
Q: when did you start rc racing and with which car ?
CODY: I started racing in 2000. My first car was a Team Losi XXXT and my first 8th scale car was a GS Storm and the body was purple 😊
Q: Which cars will you run for Serpent
CODY; I will be racing all the 8th scale cars and also the 10th scale cars later this year.
Q: Which class is your favourite one and why ?
CODY: My favorite class is 8th scale buggy for sure. I grew up around motocross so it’s the closest thing without getting hurt.
Q: Which is your local track and where is it located
CODY: My local nitro tracks are Revelation Raceway and Thunder alley Raceway. When I do run electric I will run at OCRC Raceway.
Q: What has been your biggest result so far ?
CODY: Biggest result was winning the 8th scale World Championship in 2010/11 in pattaya. Thailand. It was the greatest experience of my life by far.
Q; What is your age and occupation ?
CODY: I am 30 years old. My job is racing and helping the Serpent drivers on the west coast, and promote the Serpent brand in this area.
Q; After your first few test and races with Serpent cars, what can you say about the build, maintenance, quality and performance ?
CODY: My first impression of the Serpent cars is awesome! The quality of the parts is the best I have ever worked with. I built my first kit last week and it went together amazingly. I have been running the cars for about 2 months and I feel very comfortable with them already. The cars are so easy to work on and every day I go practice things get better and better.
Q: Which bigger races do you plan for coming season ?
CODY: I plan on doing all the big races, well I would like to. The ones I will be at for sure are. Nitro Challenge, Silver State, Nationals, NeoBuggy, and Worlds. For local stuff I will be doing all the series races like JBRL, TNT, and grass roots.
Q: When and where will be your next bigger race with Serpent ?
CODY: The next and first big race will be The Dirt Nitro Challenge Febuary 21st-25th
